Discover Senegal Experience

Senegal sits at the westernmost tip of Africa. Dakar is built at the end of the Cap-Vert peninsula, and Gorée lies just opposite, in the bay: this is where everything meets.

To the north, the coast runs to the Pink Lake, then to Saint-Louis and the Senegal River. To the south, the Petite-Côte strings fishing villages and beaches down to Mbour and Saly. In a day's drive you go from a business capital to a salt lake or a World Heritage town.

Here is the country in coastal order, from north to south. Tap a place on the map to find it along the route.

Why Senegal?

What Mansour Sow tells those who are still hesitating.

  • A unique location

At the western tip of Africa, under six hours' flight from Paris and about eight hours from New York: a gateway to the whole of West Africa.

  • Teranga

Senegalese hospitality is famous across Africa. Here, strangers are welcomed as guests.

  • Sun and ocean

Sunshine for much of the year and more than 500 km of Atlantic coast, from Saint-Louis to Casamance.

  • A democratic tradition

The country has seen several peaceful transfers of power, in 2000, 2012 and 2024.

  • Great cultural diversity

Wolof, Fulani, Serer, Jola, Mandinka… a mosaic of languages, music, food and traditions.

  • Attractive natural resources

Offshore oil and gas, recently brought into production, and mining (phosphates, gold, zircon) are opening new opportunities.

Founder's portrait coming soon

Welcome to my home, Gorée.

I have lived and worked in Gorée since 2000. I started out in tourism on Gorée, the island of memory, drawing on languages: French, English and German. Today it is the most visited site in Senegal, the land of legendary hospitality.

As a commercial manager, I promote the island's tourism through meetings and exchanges that support its development.

Today, drawing on this experience, I work with a diverse clientele: visitors who want to discover Senegal, and partners looking for business opportunities here.
